Suggestions, Feedback & Complaints
Suggestions / Feedback / Complaints
We always try to provide the best service, but there may be times when you feel we didn’t. We are keen to receive feedback from our patients and we have a comments box and slips in reception where you can post any feedback, whether positive or negative. If you wish to make a complaint, please contact our manager about formal NHS procedures.
Privacy and your personal records
Your records are held on paper and NHS computers according to the 1998 Data Protection Act. None of your personal information will be disclosed without your permission e.g. to employers, family members, lawyers, social workers, unless our failure to do so would cause significant harm to yourself or others.
You have the right to access your personal data either written or on computer, and to know what data may be shared with whom e.g. in referrals to hospital, or prescription data held in the NHS Emergency Care Summary.
We may record phone calls or use video for staff training or security.
We take part in the teaching programme of the Medical School, Glasgow University.
As this is a teaching practice, you may sometimes meed medical students in the surgery when you come to see your doctor. If for any reason you would prefer students not to be present during your consultation, please let your doctor know.
As trainee doctors, students will treat any information about you in strict confidence.
We appreciate your willingness to help with this important task of training doctors for the future.
We can arrange interpreting, generally using NHS Greatyer Glasgow & Clyde's telephone interpreting service. Please advise us which language is required.
Access for the Disabled
The entrance to the building and to all the consultation rooms is suitable for wheelchair access.
Toilets offer facilities for the disabled and for baby-changing.
We have ample parking with reserved disabled spaces.
